Bovada to Stop Offering Poker to Players
It has been announced that Bovada will be closing on 30th September 2016, in a move that will affect a huge number of keen Bitcoin players. It should be mentioned that, after this date, all of Bovada’s other gambling arms will still be functional, including their casino and sportsbook.
This closure comes after Bovada sold its poker player base to Ignition Casino, which has now decided to move into the world of online poker. There’s good news though, as Ignition Casino also accepts Bitcoin as a form of payment. We’ll be writing up a review of them soon, so make sure you check back before signing up.
US players have no need to be concerned about the move, as they will still be allowed to play once the switch has been made. Players can also be assured that they’ll be treated well when switching to Ignition Casino, as they are regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
If you are currently a poker player at Bovada and don’t want to make the move to Ignition Casino, it is advisable that you withdraw your funds as soon as possible. You can then find another reputable Bitcoin poker site by searching through our many reviews.
If you do want to make the move to Ignition Casino though, you should head to the Transfer Page on Bovada, which will walk you through the process required to make the move. You’ll also find more information on the process by looking through the FAQ pages on the Bovada website. Those making the move will then be able to take advantage of a $1,100 Welcome Bonus, as well as get a poker bonus worth up to 100%.
